No; not simply because your individual storm claim is accepted.
Following a major storm, insurers may adjust premiums across the affected area to reflect the location’s weather risk and the expected cost of claims. This type of area-wide increase can occur whether or not you personally lodge a claim.
Avoiding a legitimate claim does not necessarily protect you from broader premium changes in your postcode, it may simply mean missing out on repairs covered under your policy.
Eligible homeowners may receive a contribution of up to $650 toward their insurance excess when approved repairs are completed through a participating repair partner.
ClaimCare may receive a referral payment from the repairer after the work is completed. Any eligibility requirements and payment arrangements will be explained clearly before you decide whether to proceed.
For example: If your excess is $700 and you qualify for the full $650 contribution, you would pay the remaining $50 to the repairer.
The initial ClaimCare roof inspection is completely free.
We inspect your roof for visible signs of genuine hail or storm damage, document what we find and explain the results clearly. If damage is identified, we’ll discuss the available next steps with you before anything proceeds. No damage found? We’ll tell you honestly.
The insurer’s assessor reviews the claim on behalf of the insurer. ClaimCare gives the homeowner experienced building and claims support from their side.
Our thorough inspections are designed to identify and document genuine storm damage that may be missed during a brief assessment, helping ensure the full repair requirements are properly considered.
A declined or incomplete claim may still warrant another look.
ClaimCare can review the insurer’s decision, inspect the property independently and gather further evidence where genuine storm damage or necessary repairs may have been overlooked.
Every claim is different, so outcomes cannot be guaranteed; but an initial decision does not always have to be the final one.
